About Reading Groups So Far

So far, my group has a little bit of reading to go to finishing up the book. For the people who don’t know what the name of the book is and what is it all about, I am going to show you some of the stuff about the book. First of all, this book is called Where The Lilies Bloom. The main person in the whole book is a lady named, Marry Call. The story is mainly about hiding Roy Luther from the family. They hid him so the family would not break down. He’s dead and Mary Call buried him on the mountain.

Why I am a Snowflake

I am because I am Icy

Icy like ICEE

Cool like a milkshake

I fall from the sky

It feels awesome

When I hit the ground

That’s what I don’t like

Dahlonega

Dahlonega

We went to Dahlonega and it looked like I had been there before. When we went into the museum, I learned about Gold, Gold, Gold, Gold!!! Then we also learned about the tools that they used back then. The last thing I learned at the museum was the worth of coins and gold. Then we went to the gold mine. The biggest mine in there is called the Glory Hole. Inside the cave, it was cold and wet. I learned about the diggers. I also learned that it was too dangerous to dig for gold now. The last thing that I learned is that when you get gold, you’re wasting money.        

                                                                   

Cloudland Canyon

The three cool things I saw at Cloudland Canyon were a grasshopper, a slug, and the Rock Overhang. The Rock Overhang was a huge big rock that was created all by erosion. Underneath the Rock were sole marks, which are white dots which were holes filled in with sand. The three other things that we learned about were the waterfalls, different kinds of plants, and learned about the sole marks. We also filmed a vocabulary movie there. Shem and I made a movie of a party where we had to put them into the script. What I think about Cloudland Canyon is that I didn’t like walking up the stairs, the view of the canyon mountain is beautiful, and the two waterfalls were also very pretty.
